Level 2 is not very bulky at all!
I wanted something to wear in the summer to replace my heavy leather jacket, but still give me some protection. The level 2 protection is much more flexible than I expected and not very bulky. I ordered level 1 for my husband, who will probably take it out anyway, and I now think he may have preferred the level 2. I did not give 5 stars only because as with most motorcycle gear, the fit for women is not great. I am 5’8” and wear a large normally. After looking at the sizing, I ordered an xxl which fits great in the length of torso, and is comfortably loose enough for a couple light layers. The only issue is arm length, and the placement of the armor. It seems off a bit. It still feels like it is cut for a man’s build. Still better than most “womens” motor cycle gear.
